The Water Date is Out Now!
Exciting news! I have a new short story up in my shop! As most of you know, I’ve been posting Devoted: Merritt’s Story to Patreon ever since 2017. Book 1 is complete at around 150K, and book 2 is now within 2-3 chapters of completion, with one more book to go. The end of book 2 is intense, and my readers have been suffering. (I swear I don’t have an evil grin on my face right now…) Last winter, I wrote The Water Date as a Christmas gift for my patrons. It’s an uncharacteristically fluffy romance short story that takes place after chapter 16 of book 2. In chapter 16,…

My Mind is Blown
I don’t know what I was expecting when I released the reworked 2nd edition of Art of Death, but it wasn’t this. Things have been amazing. All my memories of release days past are clouded by a haze of anxiety, stress, and even depression. I call it post-project blues. I’m not claiming there wasn’t any of that this time around—but there’s also been a whole lot of joy that I hadn’t anticipated. It started with Art of Death getting into the top 10 in its genres on Amazon. I bounced up and down a bit and then promptly forbade myself from ever checking numbers again. (I know my vices.) All…
Art of Death is OUT NOW!
Guys, I'm so excited. Excited overwhelmed, stunned, and super grateful for all the support from my old readers and fellow authors. Getting the Lychgate Series back out into the hands of readers has been a crazy journey spanning eight years and required scaling some obstacles I didn't think I could overcome. But now it's here! Art of Death has gone out of my hands, and now it's yours. It's even already gotten alovely 4-star review from the Paranormal Romance Guild, via Queer Sci Fi!
Tomorrow is the Big Day! New Release and Blog Tour Details
Art of Death releases tomorrow! I’m so excited – please jump up and down with me. 😀 This moment has been years in the making. I still remember being in the middle of the third and final book of the Lychgate series in 2013 when a catastrophic illness sidelined me for a year and a half. It takes a long time to rebuild a life, but like the undead in Art of Death, I’m now revived and stronger than ever! Book 2 is halfway through edits, and book 3 will go to the publisher in just a couple of weeks. In the meantime, you can still preorder Art of Death…
Just One More Bite
Have you ever been so full at the end of dinner that you thought you were going to explode, but then they gave you the dessert menu and you realized they had tiramisu? And I mean the good tiramisu, with properly soaked ladyfingers that ooze espresso into your mouth? That was me signing my Lychgate contracts, ambitiously fitting my new novel series into a work schedule that was already filled to the brim. I was going to do it. I was determined to do it! Yes, I was already full, but I would eat every last ladyfinger, I would enjoy every bite, and I would not puke in the car…
Art of Death Paperback Preorders and Excerpt!
At long last, paperback preorders are up for Art of Death! I’m so excited, since I know a lot of you guys were waiting specifically for the paperbacks. [Preorder: Amazon][Preorder: Barnes and Noble][Preorder: DSP Publications] To celebrate, I’m also sharing my first excerpt! This is the moment when the two leads, Riley and Westwood, first cross paths during Riley’s lunch break. Hope you enjoy! Absorbed in the pixelated screen before him, he didn’t notice a man taking a seat at the other side of the table until he cleared his throat. Riley raised his head and jumped back in shock. The guy looked to be in his midthirties, richly tanned,…
Art of Death Preorders are Live!
This afternoon I announced to my webcomic readers that book 1 in my new novel series was up for ebook preorder. Despite the fact that I know a lot of them are still holding out for the paperback (which is coming soon!), I was a little stunned to drop in on Amazon today and see Art of Death hanging out at #8 in the bestsellers list for both LGBT Fantasy Fiction and LGBT Mysteries, in good company next to books by C.S. Poe and TJ Klune. Have I mentioned how much I love my readers? You guys have a way of lifting me up to places I never thought I’d…
